The Child Care Opportunities Resource Development Center (RDC) is a child care resource and referral agency serving Hancock and Washington counties. The RDC exists to enhance and promote quality, affordable and accessible child care.
The RDC is a single point of access for parents seeking child care or information related to child care. Parents seeking child care can receive referrals to child care providers either by accessing the referral service on our web site or by calling and talking to our child care Referral Specialist. The RDC maintains an up to date data base of all licensed and legal unlicensed child providers in Washington and Hancock counties.
The RDC serves child care providers in both counties by providing a wide variety of training opportunities, technical assistance and consultation. The RDC has a resource library for providers which includes books, periodicals and videos. We can assist new and potential providers to get started in the child care business.
The RDC also serves the communities of Hancock and Washington Counties to identify local child care needs and develop resources to meet those needs. The RDC support local businesses and employers interested in supporting early care and education initiatives. The Resource Development Center collaborates with other agencies and service providers to meet the needs of Hancock and Washington counties.
